Allison M. Strickland is the Senior Director and Head of Internal Communications for Papa Johns, where she leads the company’s global internal communications function. She ensures Papa Johns vision, initiatives, and priorities are infused across internal channels for audiences at all levels throughout the organization, including the annual franchisee conference, town halls, weekly newsletters, and technology platforms.

Prior to Papa Johns, Allison served as Director of Medicare and Medicaid Internal Communications for WellCare, where she was responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the internal communications strategy and tactics for both lines of business. In this capacity, she partnered with members of the executive leadership team and other cross-functional leaders to create materials for use in all-associate town halls, board of directors meetings, and other key events.

Before this, she served as Strategic Consultant for the Guidance Centers at Humana, Inc., a leading health care company that offers a wide range of insurance products and health and wellness services that incorporate an integrated approach to lifelong well-being. The Guidance Centers serve seniors in 60+ retail locations around the country, in alignment with the company’s health engagement strategy and Medicare business objectives. Prior to the Guidance Centers, Allison was the Communications Program Manager for Humana's Retail Segment. In this role, she was responsible for developing communications for internal audiences about the organization's Medicare, Medicaid, and Dual Eligible lines of business. The Retail-specific communications team has been benchmarked for its innovative methods of educating, engaging, and aligning associates at all levels within the organization. Allison also worked in Associate Communications and Workplace Solutions, where she led the communications strategy for the company's progressive Agile Work initiative.

With more than 18 years’ experience in internal and external communications, Allison has held roles in both non-profit and corporate settings. Prior to Humana, she was a Communications Specialist for Internal Communications at Zale Corporation, a leading specialty retailer in North America that provides customers with fine jewelry, watches, and gift items. As the Public Relations and Marketing Manager for the Kentucky Humane Society, Allison reduced the ad agency budget by 50% by taking on design projects in-house. During her three years with Yum! Brands, Allison designed, wrote, and distributed internal print and electronic communication materials to KFC field operators, franchisees, and Restaurant Support Center employees. She was also on point for the development of clear, concise, action-oriented communications to restaurants in times of crisis, including product recalls and outages.

Allison received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree from Northwestern University, both in communications.
